Hjärt-Lungfondens största satsning genom tiderna, befolkningsstudien SCAPIS, öppnar idag för forskare knutna till svenska lärosäten. Studien, som har resulterat i en forskningsbank med data, bilder och prover från över 30 000 deltagare, är en milstolpe inom svensk medicinsk forskning. Framtidens hälsoundersökningar på prov i SCAPIS. I forskningsstudien SCAPIS finns möjlighet att testa det som kan bli framtidens diagnostik och hälsoundersökningar redan nu. En av de nya undersökningsmetoderna finns på SCAPIS-mottagningen vid Skånes universitetssjukhus i Malmö. SCAPIS (Swedish CardioPulmonary bioImage Study) är en svensk vetenskaplig studie vars syfte är att förhindra hjärt-lungsjukdom.
