Living in the Baltic Sea: Marine wildlife in the Baltic Sea region
Marina grönalger - Blekinges Flora
It is a large, natural wild green alga that grows in offshore shoals and is widely distributed in rock pools in river mouths and tidal zones. Enteromorpha (Ulva) prolifera, an important member of marine green algae, contains many bioactive compounds among which polysaccharides are the major components. This seaweed attracted extensive interest due to its multiple biological activities. Enteromorpha prolifera is an annual green alga and belongs to the genus Enteromorpha which is widely distributed in the inter-tidal zone of the ocean, particularly in the eastern regions of China. This algae is rich in polysaccharides, proteins, minerals, and vitamins [1].

In June 2008, huge amounts of floating U. prolifera accumulated along the coast of Qingdao. With Enteromorpha prolifera of 1.50 mm and TS mass proportion of 3%, the biogas yield per unit mass of VS at 35°C increased by 31.3% and 7.5% than that of 25°C and 55°C, respectively, the corresponding volumetric proportion of methane increased by 10.0% than that of 25°C and was close to that of 55°C; For Enteromorpha prolifera of 1.50 mm Forma Enteromorpha prolifera f. capillaris (Kützing) V.J.Chapman, 1937 accepted as Enteromorpha flexuosa subsp.

In the current work, a green‐tide waste, enteromorpha prolifera (EP), is used as raw material to prepare efficient absorbers and light‐to‐heat converters for solar steam generation. The crystal structure of the Cu-containing protein plastocyanin (Mr 10,500) from the green alga Enteromorpha prolifera has been solved by molecular replacement. The structure was refined by constrained-restrained and restrained reciprocal space least-squares techniques Enteromorpha prolifera, one of the most common green algae, is widely distributed along the intertidal zone of coastal areas 1.It is regarded as an abundant source of carbohydrates, protein 2018-02-01 · Enteromorpha prolifera, a resource-rich green alga, contains special sulfated rhamnose-rich polysaccharides. In this study, the physicochemical properties of polysaccharides extracted from E. prolifera using different techniques were compared, and significant differences in yield, molecular weight, and chemical composition were observed. Enteromorpha prolifera is an edible alga and previous studies have indicated that E. prolifera polysaccharide (EP) attenuates non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in high-fat diet rats. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has recently been found to exert many physiological effects.
